Now since we’re headed into the final season, some fans are wondering if the actor might return to reprise his role. 'Chapter Seventy-Nine: Graduation' is the third episode of the fifth season of Riverdale, and the seventy-ninth episode of the series overall. Ulrich chose to leave The CW series after season 5. Of course it’s not the same, but at least we get to see some of those characters who left back again.
Though she stepped down as a main character, Nichols has come back as Hermione Lodge in some episodes. Ulrich’s exit is a massive loss for Riverdale. According to a report from TV Line, Skeet Ulrich, who stars as FP Jones in the hit CW series, will not return for Riverdale season 5. The seventh and final season of the series doesn’t have a release date yet, but the show has been moved from its usual fall premiere schedule to midseason 2023. Going into season 7, the story certainly will be different. The Riverdale season 6 finale ended in a way I think no fans expected!
